This perspective is super confusing. Do you think that apps, as a general matter, should not send links to user's default browser?

So that's a concern about the behavior of In-App-Browser UI and the attribution therein, not about intents out to the user's *actual* browser?

I can imagine a coherent worldview that says "all UI that apps provide should be satisfied within the app and intents should never take the user out"; that would create the concern I hear you articulating. But that's not how Android works by default, certainly not about the web.

So either you're pushing a view that is out of step with a decade of Android system behavior....or do I misunderstand?
