Couldn’t Lighthouse dynamically determine how much throttling is needed to emulate the performance of, e.g., a KaiOS device? It should be possible. It probably wouldn’t be super reliable, but it would still be much better than the current “4x slowdown” option.

Calibre's approach is what I've advocated to the DevTools team for some years now; that there should be a dynamically-set scale factor. Could perhaps help with *some* CPU things, but won't mask GPU and memory and core-count effects
