Look man I get that your employer gets paid by slamming ads onto web pages the world over, that by extension need to load fast, even for the NBU. But not every employer / web app has this constraint.

Adam, take it with love but... listen to yourself. You're 100% focused on the DEVELOPER experience rather than the USER experience. Now maybe that's OK for your use-case but it's not good for a lot of businesses.

I have many many many times had to build stuff that served millions of pages to users in the Philippines, India, China, etc. And the biz suffered if the pages were bloaty, overdesigned, etc.! That's the core of Alex's message.
