In the case of both gun violence and health care systems, our press is complicit in continuing to obscure the clear, plain truth of how relatively and absolutely poor our system is. Both-sides-ism kills.

Deeply true (assuming we're talking about US insurance). Living abroad and having a health issue is...stunning. Everything works, you pay nearly nothing at point of provision, and the total societal costs are *half*.
