A drop from 5 to 3 and back up to 5 percent of all page loads is quite some fluctuation. Do you have data about why this could be happening?
my question also — there's clearly something inorganic happening. would be interesting to quantify the impact of YouTube and AMP as well
Measurement system changes, IIRC. The system is probabilistic and subject to both backend and client-side changes + post-collection processing error. Team tries to correct, but when you see big discontinuities in UMA data, put your skepticism hat on.
