If I could run CrOS on this, I absolutely would. Windows is still "just ok".
CrOS team builds/validates its own boards, part of why they always did (fast) secure boot. "Regular" PC hardware has bajillions of peripheral options they don't yet support.
Bought a CrOS notebook to play with and was seriously impressed (even though it was a crappy Dell) Biggest thing I noticed when searching is Win laptops / PCs were much cheaper then CrOS equivalents Tried to persuade my dad to switch but he wouldn’t hit he should
Done some light weight stuff, but it doesn’t have the all the tools I want e.g can’t debug iPhone pages (but that’s not CrOS fault) Considering buying a better one (screen’s a bit rubbish on mine) but not quite ready to do that yet.
I do development on my Pixelbook; does everything I need when not building Chrome and has an escape key.
