This is extremely important for the future of our ecosystem: In your package.json, "main" must point to commonjs, and "module" to ES Modules. Why? Because those are different parsing modes. Indeed! Actually toying with that very error in Microbundle right now. I would imagine Pika could do the same.

It should happen in the npm registry itself though, not in the bundler. Same reason you run tests in CI not just locally.
