I'm honestly offended by the weakness of the proposals we're seeing. We know how to do better, but nobody admits it or proposes what would clearly be technically necessary...I *almost* like they don't really want to solve it...

Working backwards from a real goddamned threat model. Even Tor Browser is playing in the shallow end of the pool. A real solution starts with saying "ok, so we've got to get well below 31-32 bits of entropy..." rather than Apple's endless one-offing.

Things you would glue together to get towards a real "super privacy mode": - Virtualization/software-mode *all the things* (JS/GPU); tick virtual CPU at consistent, bucketed rates - Onion routing - No elevated permissions for anything, ever - Few, common screen resolutions

But again, not panaceas; you've gotta start with a coherent problem statement. Nobody, today, is doing that AFAICT. It's all press releases attached to hope-and-a-prayer hacks.
