Could you clarify what you mean by removing polyfills? There are still older browsers with significant market share that need those polyfills. (I’m trying to understand what this Googlebot change means for web developers.)

Faaarrrr too many sites and tools send unneeded polyfills to *all* users all the time, partially premised on crawler needs. This will help us move polyfill serving to the exceptional case via, e.g., http://polyfill.io
