Ya I'm super over it. Progressive enhancement still works great and new shiny JS syntax is broadly available to all evergreen browsers. The compiled thing is legacy, not modern, and unnecessary for most use cases now imo.

We are only in year 5ish so it should be in or approaching the back half. Imo once ie11 support drops the last reason to argue for these practices goes away. Velocity to deploy/iterate incentive will win out.

Mobile-first teams should already be liberated, but I see new teams still picking up desktop-era tools (React, et. al.) and shipping polyfills for things > 95% of their userbase has. You'll need to forgive some pessimism from me on this.
