It was always possible to wrap up a PWA in a WebView. This unlocks better performance, shared state (autofill, etc.), and doesn't force businesses to chose native just to "be in the app store".

As long as we can keep pinning them to the homescreen with our favorite browsers, that's fine I guess. Shared state isn't necessarily a good thing, autofill is a security flaw, and I'm not a business major. I still think PWAs may have saved us from closed-source crapstores so

One of the main advantages is discoverability. People are using Playstore/AppStore as Google.
