"nobody will go to the web for anything" was a much stronger claim. Can we nail down what "fall of a cliff" means?

Legacy content will always be there (web as bridge to native-only world). Fall will likely take the form of teams not funding mobile web explorations. Unclear impact on frameworks. Action will remain in (shrinking) desktop. There are still a lot of OS/360 engineers, after all.
