Thinking of writing an opt-in web app that toggles a device on vibrate mode
when a person enters a geo-location.
WebAPI is not helping me here. I don't see an API that awards access to a device's ringer setting. Calling on experts: @rauschma, @slightlylate, @PaulKinlan,

The question is about accessing the device's ring setting. The Vibration API can emit vibrations, but it doesn't set the ring setting. I was wondering if there was a proposal to make that kind of privilege available. 1/

I didn't frame my Q as a geo-fencing question, but this app is a great use-case for that! The motivation for my app is that there are places where non-interruption is prioritized (think theaters, workplaces, hospitals). 2/
