Can you help me understand the issue? Is it the word "application" or is "install" problematic? We tested many words for the "add to homescreen" action and "install" performed best. In neither case did we expect users to have a full model of what's happening.

Sure not everyone will understand it in either case. I just feel like having "application" there adds a bit more of a confusion
