Grrr... @slightlylate gave me a low-powered phone to use that is similar to popular phones in emerging markets. zomg we gotta fix web perf. This freaking thing may be the most annoying piece of hardware I've ever interacted with.
(and I've programmed an actual VCR)

At least it's Cortex-A53! Other low-end Android such as Nokia 2 is still running on Snapdragon 212, a 32-bit chip that hardly enjoyed any updates in 5 years! Even Xiaomi, for their low-end models such as 4A or 5A, went with Snapdragon 4-series.

We aren't getting a lot for 64bit at the low end -- more registers? -- cause OS is 32bit. Can't afford to double up pointer sizes on a system like this

LOL. Firefox OS ran on phones with 128MB RAM. This is positively luxurious :P

I wonder if I've still get that Flame around here somewhere...

Still looks too overpowered to me. Deliveroo/Uber drivers are often told they need a smartphone, so they go out and buy these £40 budget phones which React Native can barely run on (tiny displays, and not enough RAM to show the background image on our start screen)
