      Bitcoin is mostly hydro, which doesn't burn fossil fuels. Bitcoin is this weird thing that *only* consumes power, requiring no other feedstock -- not even Internet bandwidth. This is well known but actively ignored.

          China is absolutely cracking down now and miners are totally looking for other power. But the cheapest power is always going to be what can’t be moved easily, for somewhat obvious reasons. And Bitcoin can always sink those watts.
