Quick mobile question: what native app feature or API would you wish to exist as a web version? (For building web app that will work on mobile)?

I didn’t realise native apps had an API for fulltext search. I always thought that was “userland”, not platform provided..

They have at least ways to get in say SQLite FT. indexing in Browser userland is a non-starter.

Can you think of a usecase? Because I also have never seen full text search in a native app most of the time you can barely copy paste content

Ideally, we’d get a flexible and high performance indexing framework, so we can index any type of data, structured or unstructured, but I know I’m asking for too much there. Use case is building complex secondary indexes for offline databases that go beyond IndexedDB primitives.

@inexorabletash and I have thought about an "index worklet" on occasion
