I don’t understand this either, so if a page is slow it will automatically break? SSR (not prerendering) for every single request can be incredible expensive in terms of CPU and Time to first byte.

We are thinking in a architecture where users gets a prerendered html (static, with loading skeletons instead of content), only googlebot would receive a full SSR with content, thoughts about this approach?

when I am using the office VPN, sometimes Chrome detects it as a "slow network" and disables font loading. Guess what? Our VPN is just fine.

The same happen on a lot of fast connections breaking stuff. Honestly Google Chrome should stop making assumption like those. I don't really see how a blank page could give a better experience than a slow one.

Read the article in the retweet. Devs have an opt out, but there are also some considerations to make when doing so.

Is my call to
@unpkg for 1kb of hyperapp really going to make my page slow? Nah it’s not. This is the first I have heard of this idea but it sounds pretty naive to me.Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo
