What I enjoy about @AlaskaAir is their stoic determination to operate a flight *no matter how many* hours late it may depart*
*except when they cancel outright and re-book you on a trip that is on the ground at destination for less than 4 hrs, on the wrong days (last month)

Tonight, an
@AlaskaAir story in unnanounced at-gate signage updates (for a nominal ~7:25PM flight): "Estimated: 9:20PM" (9:30: plane arrives, passengers deplane) "Estimated: 9:35PM" "Estimated: 9:51PM" "Estimated: 10:30PM" *Courage*2 replies 0 retweets 2 likesShow this thread -
Announcement 10 minutes ago: "we will be boarding in 13 min" Nobody lines up.pic.twitter.com/JV2gIQ1I5l

@AlaskaAir might be hot merger trash, but I'm starting to think better of my fellow travelers.1 reply 0 retweets 2 likesShow this thread -
It is 10:25. We have boarded but not pushed back. I'm super grateful we're going. That's some grim determination, yo.

Flight attendants just had to announce that they're in the same boat; have been waiting at SFO since *noon*.

Your "rebook on the earlier flight" pro-move is duly noted. Full by the time I looked!
