...and those jobs and headquarters aren't coming back. This is a diode; one-way switch. London has abased itself to these (often toxic) businesses for decades, hoping revenues outweigh global costs. Now the arbitrage is working against them.

All of Brexit is the absurd end-game of long-standing British arrogance about its importance and place in the world. Europe is calling their bluff and the UK is going to discover it is a small island on the margins, at enormous economic cost.
