I cant disagree but why are you turning javascript off? For a content site, server rendered is probably better ux, but i do wonder who this test is for.

those are both great reasons really. Today I wouldn’t want to build a server rendered app then need to scope out some responsive dynamic app functionality with just something like jQuery. Should be possible to trickle in react for parts of the app, just not something ive tried.

This sounds like a bad starting point. You should do everything in your power to pick a lighter weight option that helps you structure your app well. Can't tell you how many hand-rolled disasters I've helped remediate.

My thinking was that maybe backend frameworks out there have some solutions for this, but i also havent researched it. Are there good resources for “if i want server rendering, but also need a dynamic site, use x”?
