Still has interesting implications. Basically, you have to work your ass off to make people use @TeamYouTube's platform for 4000+ hours *for free* before they start even thinking about paying you.

By the way, if you think this kind of stuff is only about ad money, think again. There are a bunch of other features that get disabled if you don't qualify as a partner.

Just doing some math: a 10min video each week with 500 views would be enough to top those 4000 hours. Shouldn't be to hard if you wanna be a "youtuber"

A 10 min video with 500 views is probably ~2000 minutes of watch time. You can't assume a view equals watch time for the full video - almost no one watches to the end of videos.
