Flight operations have resumed after the nationwide FAA ground stop. About 86 flights have been delayed and 8 cancelled, so passengers are encouraged to check with their airline for potential delays.

Believe it or not, some passengers leave their bags in the trash for the airport to throw away. The bags are too large to fit in the airport's trash compactor, so we must put them in a dumpster. Reminds us of the old proverb: One person's trash is another person's treasure.

Assembling the 40 ft. x 18 ft. #holiday tree in the Plaza takes a team effort. This #timelapse shares the result of 12 glowing stars, 3,000 ft. of garland, 2,500 decorative items and 22,000 lights – but no partridge in the tree. Maybe next year!

If there was a #NationalPoinsettiaDay contest, we’re pretty sure SLC would win. Each year, our maintenance team grows 1,600 poinsettias onsite in the airport’s greenhouse. The flowers are ordered in July and nurtured until they’re ready to deck the halls around the holidays.
