The overhead power system is already installed along substantial portions of the line… rebuilding of the SF tunnels to make room for the installation will wrap up this spring.

That said, they had schedule slips early on, installing the first batch of support poles for overhead electrification. They’re trying to make up for it with some success. It’s entirely worth asking why it’s so damn hard to do this sort of thing.
