Ten years ago this week, I wrote on how being a straight white man was like playing a video game on the lowest difficulty setting. The piece went viral. Today, I offer thoughts on it, its impact in the world, and why it's even more relevant today, alas.

"Webex engineering team and Privacy team are actively working on solving this [sending audio while muted to the server] issue." Kinda surprised that this wasn't closed as designed, because they literally designed it to violate people's privacy.

Hey those of you out in internet land, if you have Digi WR11, WR23 or WR44 LTE modems in your fleet, run `gpstat` and look for established connections to 8022, 143, and 53. If you see them you can likely save money on your cellular bill by changing the admin password then reboot.
