    Should point out that The Runaway, from the owners of , which opened tonight in Brookland, has Lunch, Moe and King Titus on draft. The latter porter is beautiful, if on the sweet side. (My notes are “roasty Heath bar.”)

    While I'm at it, I also desperately miss and those intoxicating burgers. I miss 's coziness and rooftop, perfect for hot summer nights. I miss Dew Drop Inn and the ever-revolving house venues. I miss Pie Shop and Rock and Roll Hotel. I do NOT miss the Anthem.

    Every so often, I get nostalgic for our times back in DC. Listening to Warren Zevon while on deadline and would kill to hit up Haydee's restaurant after, order some Tecates and pupusas, and sway along to the Excitable Boys' pitch-perfect rendition of Accidentally Like a Martyr.
