Although gofundme no longer charges to use its platform, they continue to make money from donations and a small processing fee. They unfortunately have little financial interest in stopping these practices.

They claim “big pharma” is only in it for the money, but people apparently need to crowd fund to support payment of alternative “cures”. Shouldn’t these treatments be completely free or at least cheap and affordable, instead of more overpriced than conventional care?

Agreed. They are selling hope and for some, they’ll pay whatever it takes. Sad situation.

Agreed. Authors did a fantastic job with very limited word count discussing the main issues. I’m sure authors had more to say and hope they share their other thoughts.
