@plopjs @amwmedia Plop looks awesome but I think I want my templates to be in a different codebase from the code I am generating. Does plop support this use case or am I thinking about this all wrong?

You can use plop.load() to import generators and other plop related code from a NPM dependency. This give you the ability to have shared code while still having the option to create repo-specific generators, helpers, etc. https://github.com/amwmedia/plop/blob/master/plop-load.md …
Cool.. will look into this though all of this will be private so I was hoping for a way to load by url git repo as the new project starter’s laptops would all be authed to there anyway. Thanks for the response!

You should be able to npm install from a github repo directly. So that might be an option.

No. Every file processed by addMany is treated as a template file. However, it should be fairly easy to write a custom action that would simply copy files.
