  2. Basically every software "framework" I've seen so far is exactly this. Worst thing: it's sold as a benefit to those who will suffer: abstractions aid comprehension! While at the same time taking their ability to understand by hiding lower levels of the system.

  6. You know what feature I really want? Take the element at the center of the screen and keep it there, even if content further up the page is loaded in later. (I realize that "at the center of the screen" might be complex to find out, but an 80% solution would suffice)

  21. (that rendering time is a bit slow on this machine btw. another desktop I checked rendered it in around 60ms. Also note that chrome counts data: URLs as Requests - the whole site is actually just two server calls.)
