Gathering an n=1,203 sample of Latino residents of MA allowed us to break down the data in ways we normally wouldn't be able to. For example, here is how priorities break down based on place of birth. Lots of consistency. Good sized gaps on immigrant rights, abortion rights.

I've noticed people in the Boston area often think of MA as 1 state oriented toward Boston, rather than a set of regions oriented in all different directions. 91 region north and south / into CT & VT, Western MA with NY, Fall River area toward RI, etc.

That's not to say Latino residents of MA oppose the items at the bottom of the list (they do not). But the most important things are housing, healthcare, jobs, and education. Housing is a new addition, but the other 3 have been at the top of most of our polls for a long time.

T is closing part of the OL to work on slow zones it said it eliminated, but didn't, during last year's unprecedented shutdown of the whole line. At least 3/6 slow zones the T said it eliminated still had speed restrictions in place as of Jan 4. bostonglobe.com/2023/01/25/met

This will come alongside an update and dramatic expansion to the survey that produced the very widely reported wealth gap statistics. A $1.5M survey project with n=5000, a 30-40 min questionnaire, multi-mode, multi-lingual, oversamples, etc.
