Thanks!

Umm, actually it's from this study http://go.toutapp.com/7fafc0c4e6a75ea10a … It was a study about patent holders. Doesn't mean they love moving to the US. USCIS has O visa category for patent holders. US used to like patents and immigrants. Can't say that anymore with certainty
-
We like immigrants. Especially this type. It is just illegals we take issue with
-
Something tells me that the current administration doesn't share your views -https://qz.com/india/1335857/indias-h-1b-visa-applicants-are-getting-rejected-at-higher-rate/ …
-
We are trying to stop the excessive numbers, the people coming in that don't leave, the ones that come under false documents & people that come with no ambition & end up living on welfare. The President is
right in the stance on immigration reform. -
I'm sorry you have no idea what you're talking about.

what kind of inventor will live in China, where the ruling party can strip off everything you have, from real estates to intellectual properties, within a blink?
-
the kind of inventor that knows that to make it work in China you need to be local and play by their rules. By the way, the USA gov has about a year to claim the right to use and own any new patent
-
The US does it for national security reasons (like if you invent a new way to make a nuke, best believe they're taking that away from you) but has NEVER taken someone's patent for a business. China does it all the time. That's a false equivalence and I question your motives...
-
The US does a lot, in the world, for national security reasons... .

Would be interesting to see if there were any meaningful changes this decade, esp for China.
-
First I love notion! Second I'd want to see the broken down numbers for China. Inventors working on unique projects vs replica companies.

Is this an eg of American exceptionalism, is it a case of Californian exceptionalism
-
Judging from the application fees at universities, there are American fees and Californian fees: $100+ California is in a league of its own

Sad to see inventors moving to India is close to 0
-
Just take a look at the patent process, approval and enforcement in India, and you'll know where would any smart inventor would go. Also, when a system rewards copy-cats with billions, no inventor would stand getting humiliated, and move where he's celebrated.
