    Another example of how "accident not crash" manifests itself. Mother of 5 is killed, and defense goes out of its way to show how she was at fault, even using the "darted into traffic" language, this even though he was DUI.

    In Central Valley, rich drunk driver with DUI history who hit and killed mother of five who was riding her bike gets an outrageously lame sentence. Justice is blind and drunk, apparently.

    But look away - can't have new housing because it's a giveaway to "greedy developers".

    While SF tenants rights groups trash YIMBY support of SB827 and tell them they should adovcate for Costa-Hawkins repeal instead, they are silent of the issue of creating more housing for new residents who wish to live here but can't.

    I don't see the Board of Supervisors voluntarily upzoning the westside, whereas they've been happy to do that all over the eastside of the city. If local control can't even get San Francisco towards more equal zoning, what hope is there for any other California city?

    SFPD Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Unit ran an safety operation in the Fisherman’s Wharf area, the Marina district, and Bayview’s Produce Market area. This operation netted 18 commercial vehicle cites to large semi-trucks, dump trucks etc. SOMA is next!

    Couldnt help but notice the two Black supervisors on the SF BOS, who arent rich, who represent the last Black areas of SF, in a city with a 5% and dropping Black population, were most supportive of . It's like they know first-hand that housing shortages cause displacement.

    CEQA review for infill urban projects is surely what the framers of this important environmental law had in mind when it was passed. 🙄

    Wow Ronin's speach rn. Ronin fully understands what SB35, SB827 & the HAA together will do - as long as SF has under built affordable housing, 50% affordable projects would not be subject to CEQA and and Ronin is adamant this must be opposed.

    This why the community outreach process and local control for these projects is broken. All it does is encourage the people who have all the power (existing homeowners) to come in and say "no".

    "Mission Bay homeowners are upset, saying they paid high prices to live there and shouldn't have to worry about their safety if homeless people with mental health issues move into the area." Tell me again how we don't need a by-right process...

    Once again, Aaron Peskin misrepresents facts about SB827 in the Marina Times to please his exclusionary millionaire friends in Telegraph Hill.

    Based on the context, it appears Aaron Peskin believes that Hayward is an affluent, exclusionary suburb.
