Did you properly use the coffee cans, and not in the haphazard manner showed on the show, to get the directional fixes? How did you measure the inclination and what was the uncertainty in that angle, given the measuring method and the diffraction of the waves entering the cans?

Yes, we used them right. In some cases our careful measurements did not provide a good camera angle, which required us to pull it out of the can, would have been 2 boring 2 keep people's attention or we needed to turn off the camera equipment to ensure it wasn't interfering.

Also... Assuming the 5000 feet (10000 above sea level) triangulation is correct, why not skydive holding the instruments? Seems far more accurate a method of delivery than a rocket? 3rd party professional sky dive team could carry GPS and detectors in pockets each.
