Yes, this was a thing earlier this week in Sweden. Tegmark’s brother seems involved as a writer for the publication, but it is not confirmed whether if that’s how this happened.

Reading through the article it would seem someone did not do their research before making the offer which is now recinded. Very bad look for the organization. Whoever made the offer should be fired.
