Yep. All the non-carbon sources are needed. The solar/wind allows micro and off-grid setups which nukes don’t. Power is getting what computing got from 1975-2005.

Seems like companies and the government have their eyes set on SMRs sadly, one 300MWe reactor will make such a difference

The government cabinet has drafted a memorandum to amend the "Environmental Act" with regard to nuclear technology. Changes to the law are proposed to enter into force on 1 March 2024.

A smart move by Sweden. And an example for other nations with a moratorium on new nuclear.

Good for them. I'd love to see the US follow suit and make it reasonable to build/use some new ones, especially SMRs. I'd like this if for no other reason than we can then decommission the older, less efficient, less safe nuclear plants. Long game, to decommission coal plants!
