Isn’t the #YouTubeRewind supposed to be about YouTube? Like I get why they talked about all the strides that have been made this year towards equality and representation but that’s not what YouTube is about.

YouTube is about people from all walks of life creating content for the internet. Yes some of it is to do with equality and the like but not all of it. YouTube to a lot of people is a place they can go to find a community and the

Also why was k-pop such a focus? I’ve been an active user of YouTube this entire year and I’ve never seen anything for it on the site. I’m not trying to offend anyone but why of all things was it k-pop? Fortnite made sense but not k-pop

Overall the #YouTubeRewind2018 was a stinking pile of crap, but that doesn’t mean the concept of the rewind isn’t good. @TeamYouTube just need to start making it about YouTube itself, and the people who make it such a unique and special environment: the creators
