    This is the direct consequence of Johnson's Tory government's decision to allow legislation for remote council meetings to lapse, when COVID-19 restrictions still require social distancing for face to face meetings

    Remember a couple of weeks ago when the High Court ruled councils must return to in person meetings...? This socially distanced council meeting cost an extra £6,000 + VAT, and that didn't even include a megaphone and binoculars for those at the back! 📣

    This afternoon I went to Boleyn Gardens, Beaulieu Park accompanied by the Mayoress. The occasion was the official opening of the outdoor gym, which is very popular with residents. Cllr Rose Moore and Cllr Susan Sullivan spoke before I said a few words and cut the ribbon.

    If it weren't for the proportional element of the voting system in Scotland, the SNP would have won a huge majority on a minority of the vote. Thanks to PR, Scotland is much more fairly represented. If Scotland can have fair votes, why not Westminster?
