Piracy is necessary for preservation of all media. Streaming services have shown that companies don't want you to ever own anything. They want full control.

I’ve yet to see someone actually complain about not being able to afford it. It’s not even expensive. The real reason is that these million dollar corporations can’t make a good service, yet some randos in their moms’ basements can. Convenience and availability are the issues.
-
You are not entitled to convenient access to entertainment. If a company offers it, great, but as annoying as it is to us, they do not have to.

Why not? If companies aren't letting people from all regions access said luxaries, I see no reason to deny myself form enjoying them. Its the companies problem if they dont want my money.
-
I don't care how fair or unfair the owner is. You do not get to benefit from someone else's time and labor without compensating them unless they let you. You can make this argument for essential goods/services, but you cannot say this about luxuries. Nobody owes you anything.

Most people don't have to be the ones pirating to save things. In the grander scheme, just 3-4 people are enough to preserve the media. Companies CAN preserve content, but the problem is that it is too easy for them to choose not to if they don't profit and we don't get a say.

Bu companies don’t always preserve things? A lot of the earliest cinema is lost. Metropolis is a hugely important movie but preservers lost much of it and have had to scramble about to collect whatever missing pieces they can
-
Video games? Remakes of old games often have to go from scratch because the original programming for fallout or bg has long been lost. Fallout 3 on a modern windows is buggy so one needs to edit it or install a mod to decrease the chances of errors.

Yes, I agree with this. There is hardly any honor in outright stealing for people's own self-righteous reasons. They're just throwing any kind of excuse to reassure what they're doing is right, such bs. Personally, I'm glad that Kissanime got hit real hard, heh heh. :3

Is this sarcasm, or-?
