I've been thinking about forgetting about the "New Year's Resolution" crap and picking a different and random day of the year to make your "changes" day, essentially the cut-off period for your year. I've been thinking about this for a few months.

Then it occurred to me as my birthday approached on Feb 7th: make your birthday your cut-off day. The day when your new year kicks in, when you announce your resolutions and start a new day.
