I've been experimenting with condensing the plaintext journal into a summary journal as well, to get a life overview. For example a page of explanation in my main journal turned into just "Bike got stolen." in the condensed one.

I've been learning French for the last while, and it teaches you a surprising amount about English, because of their common Latin roots and then a lot of English words having French roots. But journal is one of those words...jour = french for 'day', journal = daily.
