V sad about this unnecessary rule. Along the trails, men would regularly try to pressure me into hiring them as my guide. Like, I feel MUCH safer alone than disappearing into the wilderness with a bloke, thanks!

My friend is Fiverr's most prolific tarot reader. Someone recording words of wisdom for you on a video for the price of a pint? Even I loved it and I'm really cynical

Spent a month in Chitwan, Nepal earlier this year and found that locals were on edge about tiger attacks. Here's the story: adventure.com/nepal-tiger-po Thanks

"While a leap in the tiger population can mean good business for some—tourists and accompanying security staff are a frequent sight—it’s another story for those living and working in buffer zones."

In stitches. Rough Guides must have sold my motorbike & sidecar article to a Malaysian website but... I'm not sure that video they've embedded really sells the experience🤔ms.traveltripsworld.com/3101931-altern

The coastline between Shields and Whitby used to be a third dimension to me, I had no idea what was there. Anyhoo, now my favourite British beach is courtesy of TEESSIDE

Bought a camper van from a burly private-security guard in Lincoln. He said he favourite story is Peter Pan, so he painted his favourite line from the film on the wall. ❤️😭

Truly, my favourite title of anything I've ever written. Thanks for that . A story about how solo travel gets you comfortable with making a t*t of yourself, and why that's a great thing...

Travel isn't always perfect. Sometimes you end up falling over in the Himalayas with a giant backpack looking like an upturned turtle – says . But pushing through perfect is what is all about:

The stars aligned and my favourite trekking gang are sharing this page in - with my words, the American’s photo (mearcstapa.me) and the Canadian modelling. Glad to see his bamboo staff made the cut

No matter what the trail brings, I know it won’t be as hard as the week I tried to keep up with a 6’5 Canadian nicknamed ‘Big Timber’, who hikes with a giant bamboo stick

Went from having never ever trekked to doing 3 weeks in the Himalayas, up to 5,416m, with a heavy bag. Fell over a bunch of times, threw up, but... now I am a mountain goat!
