depends on implementation good implementation: BOTW style that forces you to use weapons/tactics you wouldn't normally. keeps the game spicy. bad: using it as a quick way to make the game more difficult.

A simple question that has many variables and can change game design a lot. I think it would be nice if doens't demand repair every time and for incetive players to keep armor repair the armor/weapon stats could decreasse with more close to 0 the durability is.

Could have a blacksmith to repair the armor/weapon to max number again and player could use a simple hammer to restore a few points for not get broken.

Bad Idea unless it is very slow degrade rate and you can repair them simply. I like using a favorite weapon and keeping it
