@TeamYouTube How do I turn off the translations of titles and descriptions of content in different languages? This feature is not only not useful to me, but counterproductive and obstructive to my use of @YouTube. Many are also simply wrong.

To clarify, translations on the videos are provided by the creator. Just to confirm, have you tried checking your device level language and location settings by using these steps: https://goo.gl/df9vko ? Let us know.

Hi. My device is set to German for academic reasons (I am learning German). My YouTube interface is also set to German. I don't want English videos coming up with German titles and descriptions, because I want to be able to identify a video as English or German from its title.

Regardless of my own personal edge use case, it is objectively not useful to imply that the video is in one language when it is in another. I can't imagine a scenario where I would be okay with clicking on a German-titled video, to find that it is in English, or vice-versa.

So I'm looking for a way to turn those translations off, so that videos show up with their original titles and descriptions etc. Thanks.
