It's hard to overstate how discredited your entire gang of Beltway reporters are after your handling of Clinton's email "scandal". How do you still have a job?

I'm the only guy who knows how to fix the coffee maker. So they have to keep me around.

I pity you don't use that leverage to get away with expressing an original thought

Ah yes, I remember the famously apolitical special counsel investigation of Ken Starr...
-
I remember Ken Starr firing *squints* himself for partisan and biased statements and intent to find a crime to prosecute
-
I remember Rudy Giuliani cackling on Fox about the “tricks we [the Trump campaign] have up our sleeves” about Clinton, based on leaks from the NYO of the FBI.

Stir vitriol? Sure. But affect credibility? Only for the intellectually dishonest.

They give critics of the investigation an excuse to dismiss it as fundamentally partisan. For political purposes, it doesn't matter whether that is true.

-
Yes, they are. Nor are they supposed to be hired or fired based on their political orientation.

Except that it was before Mueller's investigation began and he was removed as soon as Mueller found out so it's actually a stretch to over state it.
-
Unlike say...Trump — who kept Michael Flynn on for weeks until he was caught and exposed and then asked FBI director — Oh, right. Forgot. Mueller must be investigated.

I think we should appoint a special counsel to investigate whether he IS an idiot. Settle the matter once and for all.
