I haven't updated my iPad in years. Works great. Think I'll pass on this latest OS for my phone, too.
Nice “upgrade”, @Apple. EVERY application now runs slower on my phone. Even the home screen takes longer to load.

Ollie - they could be talking about the new iOS - 11 - lots of friends having issues w/their older phones (I have 6 & still have 9 iOS...)

Yup. Lots of people have been speculating that it's not a coincidence that the new upgrade significantly impairs performance on older phones

The full upgrade takes a while to settle into your iPhone. The process goes faster if you updated via iTunes instead of "internally". Plus, lots of downloads/updating = decreased bandwidth in some areas.
