So what's the story about air lifts? Isn't this how they food/water to people in war torn countries? Dropping items from helicopters?

It's actually about how this group is putting people on the ground in some of these communities where government relief hasn't arrived. They sometimes use helicopters to bring in supplies, but there's staff on the ground to help distribute.

I get it. And that's definitely important! But coordinating these people with air lifts to these places seems like a no-brainer.

That said, I realize it's easier said than done and may not actually be the answer.
