Great story here by @singernews and @DonovanSlack on how senators use charter flights. http://usat.ly/1n7KY3j
@brianjameswalsh and 75 % of Senate does NOT fly charter, so seems reasonable to raise the question

@singernews Disagree. 1) Depends on state size; 2) How hard Sen drives their schedules; & 3) Other Sens spend their budgets elsewhere. -
@brianjameswalsh perfectly good case to make. Doesn't make the story invalid. -
@singernews Fair but it also doesn't tell the whole story. ABC ran same piece on Cornyn a few yrs ago. TX & NY are a lot bigger than DE. -
@brianjameswalsh which I guess explains why now Cornyn doesn't fly charter at all. At least not with public $$ -
@singernews Won't belabor it. Agree to disagree. Key point not conveyed to readers is that charter or no charter, money spent is the same.

@singernews I mean do we think Paul Wellstone for example flew in a King Air turboprop that fateful day because it was fancy? No.Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

@singernews As you know, every Sen has a set budget - some hire more staff, some buy new tech gadgets, some travel a lot. All the same tho.Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo
