What was particularly hard was 1 - agreeing what was constant and what was variable between the scenarios 2 - discerning between first order and second order effects 3 - generalising and not ending up in endless specifics to examples

Yeah, one hypothesis was with partial release you’d end up with some base patching done so tool release triggers the exception hunts with the bulk having been done.
