    Google delisted a post on my blog because my use of the word "did" in the title apparently infringes on the reality television show "Dance India Dance." It is now MY responsibility to contest this ridiculous complaint and get my page back into the search results. Thanks

    What the hell!!?????????????????????? Google has stopped listing arguably my most successful post because it apparently infringes on a reality show called "Dance India Dance"?! Has anyone dealt with this before?

    there is absolutely no reason the government shouldn't run domain registry as a dirt-cheap public service

    ICYMI: A private equity firm wants to buy the .org domain registry, and have unlimited power to raise prices and control domain access (could offer autocrats official censorship for a "takedown fee"). There's a protest in LA on Friday.

    I first heard about the FOAF (Friend of a Friend) standard back when I wrote my post about the Semantic Web. I thought it was a really interesting take on social networking and I've wanted to write about it since. Finally got around to it!
