Is it remotely possible so many people are distancing themselves because they PERSONALLY think you acted like a bully? It might comfort you to think they bowed to mob rule. But most of these people are very smart and independent thinkers. So which is more likely?

It would appear that the actual facts of the situation are being hidden. What is most likely accusations were thrown around with screenshots out of context, people jumped to conclusions based on those specifically engineered outrage pieces and then became stuck.

Lots of people like myself took the time to actually read the bullying tweets in context. Loads of smart independent thinkers. They all got it wrong? That would be remarkable. It's far more likely you actually behaved poorly. And have dug in.

And just as many people—in fact many more—came to the opposite conclusion. Of course I behaved poorly, that's not the point. I'm not claiming to not be an asshole. I'm claiming that there is a reason for it.

What should a leader do when they have behaved poorly? What would make other men look up to you? Should you dig in and play the role of mob victim? Or own up to behaving poorly and apologize? I know what all the men I look up to would do.

This issue at stake is much bigger than me. The chief problem is the idea of cancel culture itself and the toxic ideology of silencing people we don't agree with or offend us. Bowing to that system is not a productive means to end it. I am not a victim. Victimhood is a choice.

Your entire video is about being a victim of "cancel culture". A leader would simply accept the consequences of acting poorly. It was your own words and poor behavior that caused people to act against you.
